Narrative History of the Peace Process
We intend to write a narrative history that will draw on the interviews without compromising their confidentiality (any quotations will be suitably anonymised and/or referred back to interviewees for permission to use).
This will give an authentic and substantially unfiltered voice to the opportunities and obstacles presented by the peace process. From experience we know that these oral narratives are frequently revealing in an unintended way; they can also be deeply disturbing, moving and even inspirational. They contribute a vital human dimension and enable us to probe the 'messy reality' of the past in a way that documentary analysis cannot hope to match.
